The Ohio State University Men’s Glee Club and the OSU Chorale will be performing in Mount Vernon on April 6th. The theme of this concert is “Songs We Love to Sing.” Celebrating its 150th year of singing, the Men’s Glee Club is returning to Knox County for its fifth concert in the past 20 years, always impressing the audience with its outstanding harmonies. This group of 75 tenors and basses recently participated in a concert at Lincoln Center in New York City. During a November Buckeye football game, they joined over 100 Glee Club Alumni and the OSU Marching Band presenting a halftime tribute to Frank Sinatra. The OSU Chorale is a 45-member coed ensemble that features the university’s most experienced singers. The concert is open to the public, free of charge.
A donation will be collected to cover the expenses in bringing the singers to Mount Vernon. Any additional money will go towards the Alumni Club’s Scholarship program that benefits Knox County students attending Ohio State University.
