Taking place on the first Friday of June-September, First Fridays are our premiere summer events. Featuring community corners, classic car shows, food trucks, vendors, kids activities, and so more, there is something for everyone at First Friday!

Honoring the legacy left by John Chapman (“Johnny Appleseed”) in Mount Vernon, the Experience Mount Vernon Johnny Appleseed Festival features all things fall! Featuring a food truck trail hosted by Knox Foodies, a kids zone, fresh produce, and vendors, the Johnny Appleseed Festival is the perfect kick-off to the fall season.

Experience Mount Vernon presents Winter in Downtown! Along with shows, attractions and performances at our partner venues and presented by local organizations, Experience presents a slate of events to keep you coming through the central business district all season long.

Each year, Experience Mount Vernon has the pleasure of recognizing businesses and individuals who give time, money, and resources to Downtown Mount Vernon.

Sponsoring a welcome banner in Downtown Mount Vernon is a great way to show your support of Downtown and showcase your organizations, business, or family. Welcome banners are 30”x60”, full color, front and back banners that will hang for a minimum of 30 days/calendar year (starting with the date of sponsorship). Banners will feature your organization logo or family name. Banners are $150 for the first year and $75 for subsequent renewals.
